Reka Core vs Gemini 3 for Multimodal Entertainment Content
Streaming platforms need AI that understands video, audio, and text. We compare Reka Core 2.0 and Gemini 3 for entertainment industry applications.
Multimodal Entertainment AI
Streaming platforms, studios, and content distributors need AI that processes video, audio, and text together. Reka Core 2.0 and Gemini 3 Pro are two of only a few models with native multi-modal capabilities suitable for entertainment workloads.
We tested both on content categorization, automated metadata generation, content moderation, and recommendation feature extraction using a dataset of 10,000 streaming titles.
Content Understanding
Gemini 3 Pro achieved 88.4% accuracy on genre classification from video clips alone, compared to Reka Core 2.0's 82.1%. For generating accurate content descriptions, mood tags, and thematic keywords, Gemini scored 85.7% relevance versus Reka's 79.3%.
However, Reka Core 2.0 processed content 2.3x faster and at roughly one-third the cost per title — a significant factor when processing libraries of millions of titles.
Content Moderation
For detecting age-inappropriate content, violence levels, and potentially offensive material, both models performed well. Gemini 3 Pro flagged 97.2% of problematic content (with a 3.1% false positive rate), while Reka Core 2.0 caught 94.8% (with a 2.4% false positive rate).
Reka's lower false positive rate means less manual review — an important cost consideration at scale.
Recommendation
For premium content analysis where accuracy matters most (original productions, featured content), use Gemini 3 Pro. For bulk library processing where cost efficiency is critical (back catalog, user-generated content), Reka Core 2.0 delivers strong results at a fraction of the price.
